Legal records, mostly 1874-1930, including abstracts of title, policies of title insurance, contracts of sales of property, search forms, deeds, reports on title, and similar papers, including a few wills and real estate maps, relating to their activites as real estate attorneys. Most of the transactions represented here were for property in lower Manhattan, including many purchases by Italians of land in the area between Canal Street and Greenwich Village known as Little Italy, particularly around the turn of the century. John A. Weekes, Arthur D. Weekes, Frederick Delano Weekes, and Arthur Sutherland, were at least some of the members of the firm.
